8 – WILD SAVANNAH – FLY PACKAGE

DAY 1: ENTEBBE (ARRIVAL)

Arrive to Entebbe international airport. We will pick you up from the airport and take a short transfer to your Hotel in Entebbe.

DAY 2: ENTEBBE – KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast in the morning and relax at the hotel. Early lunch before transfer to Entebbe airport for your afternoon scheduled flight with Aerolink at 12:30 to Kidepo National Park. The lodge will pick you up from the airfield transfer you to Apoka for check in and get a small bite before we set off for an evening game drive by the lodge vehicle or choose to do a nature walk.

DAY 3: KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast and take a visit to the community in the morning or do it in the afternoon plus a game drive.

DAY 4: KIDEPO VALLEY NP– PAKUBA/ MURCHISON FALLS NP

Breakfast and relax at the lodge, early lunch before transfer to the airfield for your afternoon scheduled flight with Aerolink to Murchison Falls National Park/Pakuba airfield where you will be picked by the lodge car and continue for an evening game drive in the northern bank of river Nile to look out for the elephants, lions, Cape buffalos, Rothschild giraffes, hartebeest, Oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbucks, spotted hyena and if lucky you could even spot the leopard. We will thereafter cross the Nile by ferry to our lodge for dinner.

DAY 5: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, we will take a 4 – 5 hours boat cruise to the Victoria Nile Delta the home to the rare wetland birds including shoebill and papyrus endemic species. It is approx. 20km Voyage downstream from Paraa. Return for lunch and in the afternoon we take a boat cruise upstream to the “bottom of the falls”. The Nile here gets calm at the base of the falls. On this trip we have a chance to see lots of birds, schools of hippos, buffalos to mention but a few.

DAY 6: MURCHISON – FORT-PORTAL/KIBALE FOREST

This day we drive to Fort Portal via Hoima, in a breathtaking landscape that forms the Albertine western Rift Valley. It is a quite long drive (8 to 9 hours) but we will have several stop overs to relax, and sightseeing as we pass verdant countryside, traditional homesteads and farms. We will have our packed/picnic lunch on the way. Check in and relax for the rest of the evening.

DAY 7:            KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning, we make our way into the jungle to search for Chimpanzees. Watching our closest relatives in their natural habitat in Kibale Forest is a fantastic experience. After lunch we leave Kibale Forest National Park and drive through Fort Portal, and then along the mystical Rwenzori Mountains towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. As we reach the park boundaries, we may see some animals along the way.

DAY 8:            QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

In the early morning we do a game drive in Kasenyi area, within Queen Elisabeth NP, on a look out for the lions, buffalos, elephants, and large numbers of Uganda Kobs and other antelopes. After we will go back to the lodge for breakfast, and relax until lunch time. In the afternoon we will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel (approx. 2 hours), to look out for the hippos, great herds of bufallos, and lots of water birds.

DAY 9: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – BWINDI NATONAL PARK

We leave the lodge early in the morning with our packed lunch and drive Bwindi, the southern sector of the park with views of Kigezi Highlands. Lunch enroute.

DAY 10:          GORILLA TRACKING IN BWINDI NP/RUSHAGA/NKURINGO

After breakfast, transfer for the morning briefing before enjoying the highlight of the trip- Gorilla trekking, which may last the entire day. We trek through the rainforest and bamboo covered slopes, accompanied by a guide and trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silverback, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. When sighted, visitors will be guided to within 6 metres from the gorillas, sit around them for a whole hour while gazing into their big round eyes. Return to the guesthouse for refreshing and free evening to relax.

DAY 11:          BWINDI NP – KISORO (FLY) – ENTEBBE

Breakfast and transfer (approx. one and a half hours drive) to Kisoro airfield for your scheduled flight with Aerolink to Entebbe airport to connect with your departure flight(-/-/)
